Our Mission

Staying Put in New Canaan is a 501(c)(3) non-profit volunteer-supported organization dedicated to giving our seniors the practical means and social support to live their lives to the fullest, safely and confidently, in the New Canaan community.

Volunteers recently gathered for a thank you party and to celebrate the season at the beautiful home of board member Lyn Chivvis. Aram Tchobanian and Jody Davis provided the entertainment. Season's Greetings and many thanks to all our dedicated volunteers!

Indoor Holiday Train Show. Extend the holidays with our trip to the holiday experience where model trains zip past replicas of N.Y.C. Landmarks. Carpool from Staying Put. Fee: $18. Your check is your reservation. Reserve by Jan. 5th.

Attorneys Michael Nedder or Michele Gartland of Nedder and Associates, LLC will answer questions about powers of attorney, trusts, will guardianships, living wills, IRA custodianships and more. Accountant Edward Granelli, CPA will answer your financial questions. One Tuesday a month they will come to Lapham so please call for an appointment (203) 594-3620. Free.

  • Friday Coffee Hour, 11 a.m., Lapham. Melba Neville from Human Services will talk about Health, Humor and History along with coffee and goodies. Free. RSVP.

  • Thursdays, 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m: The Nurse is In! Lapham. Stop by any Thursday to have your blood pressure checked by Robin Boccuzzi, Town Nurse.
